Your mission

  • Being part of the team, you will learn how to apply data science theory in a global manufacturing company.
  • Developing solutions for the challenges of our Business Units – from concept, via building the model, up to the actual implementation.
  • You will work in cross-functional international teams consisting of other colleagues of Mondi DX as well as domain experts from our respective Business Units, paper mills and converting plants.
  • We encourage and promote excellence through innovation, creativity and commitment.
  • We develop scalable solutions through strong internal & external partnerships to the competitive advantage of Mondi.

Your profile

  • BSc/MSc in a related field, e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics
  • Business driven and solution-oriented individual
  • Knowledge/Experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Machine learning algorithms and concepts e.g. Random Forest, Boosting, SVMs, neural networks.
    • Univariate & multivariate time series analyses e.g. ARIMA-, ETS- and ARCH families, Spectral Analysis, Fourier transform
    • Converting big data into actionable recommendations e.g. ad-hoc analyses on large volumes of data using SQL and Python/R, development of dashboards, sensor fusion
    • Statistics e.g. regression analysis, PCA, statistical testing, Monte Carlo methods, Markov chains
    • Website analytics platforms of Google suite (Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager) or similar
  • Fluent in Python, additional knowledge on R of advantage
  • Interested in working in an agile international working environment, enjoys being part of a team
  • Good presentation and communication skills, explaining complex analytics concepts to a diverse set of clients, end users and colleagues at all levels
  • Willing to travel up to 30%
  • Fluent in English; German or other languages would be desirable

Our offer

  • Start: immediate start date possible, considering your availability (e.g. notice period)
  • Location: Group office Vienna – Marxergasse 4A, 1030 Vienna
  • Duration: unlimited contract
  • Extent: full-time, 38 hours/week, all-in contract
  • We offer a minimum compensation package starting at € 45,000 gross/year on a full-time basis (38 hours/week), with the opportunity of overpayment depending on your experience, skills and qualification.
